About SADI
The Sustainable African Development Initiatives (SADI) is a non-political, non-profit,
non-partisan, relief and development organization, which was established in Kenya in
2009 by an assembly of African Intellectuals from East Africa, touched by the plight
of many people in the region and the continent at large. The organization was formed
as a CBO working mainly in Somalia and North Eastern Kenya.
The main purpose of the organization is to support and empower the African
vulnerable communities to develop strategies and skills which enable them to more
effectively manage their own lives through the provision, protection and promotion of
quality health care, better education, sustainable livelihoods, Institutional Capacity
Building and Good-Governance.
Since its inception SADI has built its reputation at grassroots through its participatory
approach in its project. Currently, SADI’s operational focus is on Kenya in the
Eastern, North Eastern, Coast and the Upper Rift Valley Regions while in Sudan
organization has plans to start operations inGedarif State, Kassala State and White
Nile State. And in Somalia our operation areas are in Middle and Lower Juba, Bay,
Bakool, Gedo Region as well as Lower Shebelle and Banadir Regions. The
organization is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and it has sub-offices in Baidoa,
Muqdisho, Kismayu, Afmadow, Jilib, Dobley, Beletweyne. Rabdhure, Ceelbarde,
Xudur, Bualle, Garissa, Dadaab, Liboi.
